The Loud House: Season 6: Episode 25: Fashion No Show/ Doom Service

The Loud House  Nickelodeon

Episode 25a: Fashion No Show

Sorry, I put the wrong tape in, even though there's no tape, this is a Casagrandes episode?  It starts with Carlota Casagrande she's apparently a fashion intern.   The boss wants her to work on a fashion show and Carlota needs to hire an intern of her own. (The boss likes free labor)  Oh it is a Loud House episode so Leni is the one person Carlota thought up. (Hey, Leni could you drive daily hours to another location to  work for free, please? what)  Gee, I wonder what tension will happen in the episode?

Carl, being genre savvy, tells Carlota she has just hired her replacement.  On a different note, it's been awhile since they've done an episode with Leni and fashion- they seemed to have focused on other things instead or even having episode where she runs for mayor. It is better than trying to force so much on the focus of her on fashion and doing it as a nice sprinkle instead.

Leni takes Carlota's words literally to be "fast on her feet" and then ends up liking the idea of roller skates as headwear when Leni accidently crashes into the outfits that will be part of the show. Leni starts to do things that impress the boss.  Honestly, Carlota should quit her boss is a bit out there. (minus 1 pt for "Elephant Oopises")

Carl suggests that she get rid of Leni (murder her?) by sending her on an impossible errand. Carlota decides she doesn't want until... the boss helps the plot and decides to do it after all.  Carl  and Sergio end up becoming her helpers, which might be a bad idea. (Though the outfit Carl made was pretty cool)

Carlota realizes she needs Leni and finds her. She then tells her what really happened and Leni decides she wants to help save the show.  [I was tempted to give back a little bit of a point for the episode ending with a bad thing for Sergio, but, (big but) it was still be because of the gross thing they had before so yeah]

This actually feels more like an escaped The Casagrandes episode that just happens to be on the Loud House and using Leni instead of a random girl. It focuses on things from Carlota's POV more than Leni's like that Sid and Lisa Casagrandes episode that had the same vibe. It's very much like that instead of being really a The Loud House episode. That doesn't take away from the episode, it's just something to note.

I will say that it was an alright episode, the tension reason makes sense and didn't veer into anything too bad. Yeah, it was good. I give it 7.5/10.

More after the jump

Episode 25B: Doom Service

This episode has something hard for it going right off the bat of it being an episode of the Louds on vacation and the Louds in a hotel. How does it go?  The episode Vic , a guy the show has shown to be maybe at least a bad guy before,  The episode might as well just scream at us that something is going go wrong and let us go on with our day.  (The plot starting with them wanting to get a coffee table , not sure why that would be total family affair, might have been more something)

Vic is offering a vacation that the family, and Lynn Sr. was like no, because they had one reason to be there and that was to buy a coffee table. Again, odd it's a whole family affair, just go buy a table yourself. Now, I know where this is going, and  then Vic shows them how cheap the prices are. (Still would more much cheaper not to go) Thankfully, the show remembers Lisa is smart and she thinks something is up. Again, we already where this episode is going, so I hope don't drag out the refusing where we know they'll succumb to it.

Vic adds the pressure  and they agree (minus Lisa) and the stupid can begin. (Fine minus 0.5pts for the whole start, let's do it here)  Again Lisa tries her hardest to provide exists off the road to stupidity but it's not going to happen.

They go on vacation and also Vic works there and owns the place. (*banging head against table*)  Now Lincoln is skeptical for like 5 seconds, then they see their room and it's an awful mess. (Well duhhh) Oh my the place with the evil guy is bad, I'm shocked.  Oh there's more it was a bait and switch. Lynn Sr. goes to Vic and finds out he'd have to pay more. (Also not sure why they don't leave, but I guess we need the plot to continue)

The Louds do try to make the best of it, (again why don't they just leave?). They should also be asking why there is no one else there (they might be the only idiots)  Anyway, they also find out that there's no refunds, because duh.  Lincoln decides they can't let Vic get away with it.  Lincoln gets Katherine Mulligan  to undercover report and oh Vic is smart enough to figure out that a woman wearing a bad wig is someone else, that or he bugged the place which makes sense.

Then the woman gives the place a good review and the plan failed because of course it does.  They accept the idea of going into a shed, instead of just going home. Thankfully, a Leni thought and Lisa finds a law (also minus 0.2 pts for not knowing how phone internet works) that says you can't have a Gila Monster in hotel establishments in Michigan. They use that information to get Vic to act correctly and threaten to get his creature  sent away, so he agrees to their terms and conditions.

Having it be Vic as the villainy/ antagonist was kind of dead giveaway from the start, but at least it wasn't using Flip as the obvious person, but the episode either didn't want you to be surprised or thought you'd forget and maybe that happened.  I did like they at least placed characters to their strengths. Lisa being fully skeptical the whole time was a good touch instead of having everyone fall in place. I like the Lincoln does become more skeptical when he sees it's Vic. I can maybe give it that they didn't tell when he was in the stupid costume. It was kind of creative to see how he tries to rip the family off. The family finding ways to get back at him, without really harming him, was good. The episode wants you to root for a win and gives them one.

It's not too bad of an episode, even if parts of it seemed engineered to bug me personally.  I'll give it 6.7/10.

That's it for now, tune in next time when the Louds buy a time share (don't do that, never buy one )
