Episode 15a:  Do The Fruit Shake

Carl finds a record from a group called  Tropical Fruits, and a song called "Do the Fruit Shake" a disco song from the 1970's and  he uses it for his dance remix and it works well, well enough for a record producer who wants to put the remix on the radio. (What?)   Now, we need a wrench, well Carl needs permission from the Tropical Fruits to use their song as a sample (Or Youtube will Copyright him) and well they are hard to find. That means he has to set out to find them.

The Tropical Fruits were a three woman group that seemed to have a fruit theme for each one, their names being Piña, Papaya, and Mango. (Time for a fruit cocktail) Each member having their own themed fruit. Carl decides to play detective and he find out that Piña is town and performs at the Fruit Bowl.  Also, the music in this episode is fun. Anyway, he finds out from Piña where Papaya has been, because apparently everyone just lives in this city.   (How convenient) Piña and Papaya can't find Mango because they had a falling out.

So apparently, Mango is the woman who lives in the apartments and we've seen all along is Maybelle. (She has been shown to like Mangos so we got an arc now)  She tells them what happened, Piña and Papaya played a prank on her by hiding her mango and she gets nervous without them and she gets mad and leaves.  So she refuses to sign, Carl thinks up an idea to get them back together.

Ah yes, the old let's go out and trick people who are fighting to meet other again trick. This doesn't work at first and causes a food fight until Carl says he 's the one who brought them together and then everything works out thanks to an old mango.  The episode ends with Carl and the Tropical Fruits together doing a remix of the song.

This was an enjoyable episode, I like these kind of reunion plots they are fun and exciting usually. The episode gives a little more lore to a background character and I liked Carl's part as he wasn't really trying to trick anybody in a bad way. It's a strong episode. I give it 8/10

Episode 15b: Maybe Sitter

Oh  this episode is about the Casagrande boys needing someone to watch them because the grandparents and parents are going out. Also it's funny that Ronnie Anne is just here this episode writing stuff and having headphones and on and is totally unknown. She could have resolved the whole plot of Bobby and Carlota going back and forth and baby sitting the boys.  The Ronnie Anne part makes the episode funnier somewhat.

Most of this episode is Bobby and Carlota a) trying to figure out who gets to go to the party, b) deciding to swap every few minutes in a back and forth. ( A blend of the oldest sitcom plot really)  (Also, Also, if Bobby's friend , Par, is upset by Bobby being late and etc, he's not a good friend, or this was a joke and didn't land well) The b part is most of the episode it's these two going back and forth at this party. (It's like tennis)

Carl uses a moment of distraction for his own advantage, but's a sidebar to this episode running.  Then it slips when Bobby and Carlota end up both at the party and now the goal is for them to get back to the house before (bing) Rosa texts them that she and the other adults will be back early.  Then Par actually helps the plot by having these two enter the house by jet pack (sure alright)  and then there's a mess so they quickly clean up. It ends with a funny gag and Ronnie Anne being confused.

It's an alright episode, the plotline of trying to be in two places at once with a twist, while it being a slight twist wasn't very strong. It was a somewhat alright episode with not too much going on ,but nothing makes it too bad.   The Ronnie Anne being in the background and  not being asked or noticed was funny. I give it 7/10.

That's it for now tune in next time when we bring back a music group from the 1940's , it involves supernatural stuff!
