The Really Loud House Nickelodeon
Episode 19: Some Buddy to Love
In an almost "Home Alone" like scene the episode starts with Lynn Sr. getting scared seeing the clock say 6:49AM and wakes up his wife and tires to get everyone up because they 11 minutes to get everyone to school. Therefore, the true problem is America's school system thinking school should start at like 7:15AM. I like the part where they even stop Lincoln from doing a 4th wall instructional thing about the family in a morning, just be somehow Clyde is there and they find out it's Saturday. Only Lisa noticed that but she didn't get to say something. (The true problem , ah you already said that)
Lynn Sr. gets an idea to have his kids take care of each other by having them buddy up. I will note that Leni and Lilly are out of this episode. The fun part is that episode has him use some lottery balls with the animated version of these characters to pick the team ups. Now, I will mention that the episode does a standard pairing of the twins and even Lincoln and Lynn were something that happened, but it do Luan and Luna and Lisa and Lucy as something different. Again, it's fun to see that this show experiments a bit. The real reason is the parents want to have a day to themselves. they will not be able to do that. Their attempts at figuring out what to do are amusing though. Everything has a forgot password feature.. so..hmm okay show.
Here I'm going to break up the rest of this by the duos because I can. (OK!) Let's start with Lincoln and Lynn. This episode takes a different approach to where it's not just Lincoln and Lynn, but also Clyde. (..and Clyde) Which makes for an interesting tri-nyamic. [ I don't care that isn't a word] Lynn, of course, wants to do sports stuff and Lincoln wants to build a rocket. Lynn doesn't want to quit, because it's not in her to do such a thing. Clyde decides to figure out a way to help them. He finds a way for them to work together and make a new sport. (They are going to invent Tennis, wait no) The new sport is kind of madness but looks like they had fun. (Still taking off .5pts for the gross thing)
Lana and Lola have a fun part where they are trying to figure what they don't know about each other, or learn something new. This is part of the parents challenge for the day. I like how they pretty much are very close and have a hard time trying to figure out something they don't know about each other. It even gets to the point they are copying each other's sentences. Then, Lola finds out that Lana now likes grape juice and they learned something new, so yay.
Lucy and Lisa bring in the oldest battle of science vs. magic. Though, I can say that Lisa's science stuff is probably beyond normal science-y science. It's almost like magic. They end up having some weird science vs dark magic battle in the basement because what am I looking at? Apparently the show takes the cowards' way out and made science and magic equals. It does seem to make them appreciate each other and work together to fix Tanya, the mannequin.
Luan and Luna try to show each other their crafts, since they live in the same room. They end up trying to work on a song together because Luna , and apparently this show likes songs. I will give the point that yes, they are going to make the theme song, by using random stuff that happens around the house that fits the theme song.
Eventually, it seems everyone thanks the parents for this idea and they've had a good time with each other. The parents are happy that even though they didn't get their day, they did get to see that their kids got to do something new.
So this episode was pretty fun, I liked seeing the pairs up and how they would work. Lana and Lola's bond was still kept like they have in the animated series, it was fun to see Lincoln and Lynn work together using their skills, Luna and Luan had a give me there with the make a song -something this show loves to do- but it was fun. I liked Lucy and Lisa's thing too, it was funny to see these two meshing up. This episode works well , even if the idea of doing into the theme song was a bit cheesy, it still works overall. I liked exploring Loud sibling bonds and this episode did that well. I give it 8/10.
That's it for now , tune in next time when we sue Lynn and Lincoln for their sport being dangerous.
