Episode 1a: Waking History
That's right, there's a season 7. Time continues to be an interesting thing, which also is this episode in a way. This one is a Lisa episode, starting the season off well. [ I have a Lisa bias, to remember] The episode brings back Dr. Alverez, the paleologist from season 5's "The Loudly Bones" as she has the announcement of finding a frozen, underground prehistoric woman. Lisa is, of course, interested in this development.
Lisa wants to unfreeze the woman and re-animate her, but the scientist woman says that she doesn't think that's a good idea. Lisa thinks it would be a good idea. Therefore she does it, brining back the cavewoman named Francis (because sure). A majority of the episode after this is Lisa and Todd watching Francis as she does exactly what the Doctor said she would - not be used to our modern world. There is the fun of seeing Royal Woods when Francis goes to see the modern spots like the "Gus Games N' Grub", and Flip's, Lisa and Todd make for the fun watching them as they have to go and get her before she causes more destruction and/or hurts some one.
It's a simple episode, where there's more stuff happening than something of tooth sinking to watch. It's mostly fun to see Lisa being amazed by the cavewoman and what she does, and how there seems to be advancement in how quickly Francis learns something. So there's not too much I can go deep into for a context. If you are someone who doesn't like the idea of this series going off "grounded concepts" this one won't be for you, but I think it's pretty good, even without my Lisa skew.
Eventually, Lisa calls Dr. Alverez for help and it works out well to help get Francis back from almost taking out Flip.( would that be bad thing?, umm) The episodes pretty funny too. I'll give it 7.7/10 (and a part of this for Lisa herself)

Episode 1b: Pranks Fore Nothing
Instead of waiting for Lori, we get her right in the first part of season 7. It's a prank war at the golf college versus another golf college. I will give that Chet and Brooke are fun characters for the competing school, they bring a lot of fun to the episode themselves and make a fun duo. Lori makes a call to Luan to have her help them figure out pranking. This is a good way to have some Luan and Lori stuff, which we've not seen much before.
Lori and her team take some prank training from Luan. There are some funny moments in this like when Luan asks for ten, doing a reverse of how this joke sometimes goes. Luan doesn't have much length in the episode, she's not there the whole thing, but does bring a fun element to it.
The rest of the episode has Lori and her golf mates taking on the duo in the prank war, but being outsmarted each time, where the duo seems to be really just beating them in the war. The stakes are, of course, that the winning school members have to clean the losers toilets for a year. It is interesting that it's apparently two students of one school and like 4 of another who seemed to be dragged into it.
The prank war part is really fun again for the part of Brooke and Chet making it really interesting. I do like how Lori figures out away to get them back in a big way , it was smart and shows how well her character works. They get the upperhand and win.
It's a simple episode. There's not alot going on that brings a plot together, but it goes for moments. I think it's alright episode, and it's trying to do something the golf college stuff. I give it 7.5/10.
