Episode 10a: A Grave Mistake
Lucy is part of a her morticians club, because yes somehow there are bunch of kids in the same town who are not teens who are have an interest in death and macabre. (Mom, pick me up, I'm scared) The head of the group is Bertrand and he's moving and he needs a replacement for president- and he's chosen Haiku. Lucy is disappointed that it was not her. Lincoln, remember Lincoln?, tells her that he agrees that it's not fair and that she should express how she feels and so she makes a case for her pick. Bertrand agrees, but to a vote.
I do like the cards they use for the episode that reminds me of the PBS "Mystery" series back before that was folded into "Masterpiece" anyway, she decides to campaign for the position. It seems to be going well, but a couple kids have decided they like Ike.. I mean Haiku. Lucy finds out that the vote is tied and Bertrand would be the deciding the vote. So, she deices to rig the vote. (Using the spicy words today , huh?) She goes to Lincoln and decides a good idea would be to have Lincoln to fake being a goth so he could vote for Kodos, I mean, Lucy. (Glad you didn't vote for Kang)
Boris at least figures out that this is faker than that time the New England Patriots won the 1994 MLB World Series. (This is a double layer of fake here) Lucy wins. (Like how Hayes won the 1876 Election) The school rooster has died, the school has a rooster, has died. Lucy goes to club and finds out that everybody quit. (Good, rubs hands together, good)
They were betrayed by her stealing the election. (ummm) So she and Lincoln are going to work on the rooster funeral. This goes badly, that's what you need to know, because it's the part where something goes wrong. (Now the weather) I did laugh at chicken nuggets being served at the rooster's funeral though. Apparently the episode decided to have Lincoln not be fully sane somehow.
Lucy decides to apologize to her club, it's that point of the episode so yeah, and they agree to help out to fix things. They do the funeral better this time and it ends with co-presidents because, sure alright, can we go home now? (no)
It's alright episode, it hits the beats of what'd you expect. [Something I'll say alot in season 4 episodes] The episode was alright. It was good to see that the club saw right through her trick and left instead of something else. Lincoln's moments were funny, though it was a little odd where parts felt he had to be less thoughtful than normal for it it work. There are some other fun moments too, I give it 6.7/10.

Episode 10b: Leader of The Rack
The show had started to hold somethings it introduces before into a canon because alright then. One of those is Leni having a job at the mall, she got it in season 3's Shop Girl and it later came back for an episode in season 3 where Leni gets fired when her boss thinks she's stealing stuff, but the twist was : she wasn't. (Though Leni being a Klepto would have been a fun plot, I'm sad now) This episode is Leni with her work friends: Fiona and Miguel. (also minus 0.2pts for the cheeseburger smoothies)
The episode is making a point that they think their boss is a bit over the top in how she acts. Then, well, well what timing?! The boss has to go away and apparently, she picked Leni. (oh) Now Leni is worried because about acting too harsh and being seen as a un fun manager or a drill sergeant manager, and doesn't want her friends to think of her that way. You can guess where this might go.... but first... the attack on cargo shorts in our media is weird -it must stop, minus 0.1pts. (back to the episode, tangent man)
Leni tries to be a bribing manager as she tries to impress her friends as a manger and be a fun manager. Funager, if you will. (I'm glad if you look up the word on Bing, it's safe) Also, pay attention to how the store says there's a big sale and it's the final day, how convenient for the boss to have to leave that day! (Also retail store has like 3 employees, what?) While it is nice to see Leni improving moral of the retail store with only 3 employees (what?) how it goes wrong will be interesting. Leni decides to let her friends take a longer lunch, which is a bad idea, because....
Anchovies! Ooops wrong channel, uh back to Nicktoons for The Loud House, not Nickeloden for Spongebob that got weird. Elderly People! Wait huh? Oh yeah, it's the busiest day of the year! (Black Friday) That's right! It's Senior shop day... (what?) That's right senior citizens apparently rush the retail store, this one, once a year to shop. (what?) Could have just been a big rush for the sale the signs had up, but they had to make it weird. (minus 0.1pts)
Leni decides to not call back her friends, because we need the plot for something bad to happen. Now Leni is trying to do everything herself. (Weird reminder that this retail store has 3 employees) She realizes this is not working and decides to call her friends to come back and get to work. Thankfully, they return and the retail store somehow works better with 3 people instead of one, with a lot of customers, of which there at least more than 3.
Leni tells her friends that she felt bad for calling them back. They still care about her, because of course. Leni did do a good job at keeping work going and balancing, the only bad thing was she feared their not liking her anymore when they needed to work.
This episode works well. I think, it's also a good mixture on Leni's character while not falling into the trap of her being too lax and her friends taking advantage. That's a common thing for this kind of plot, or the other common thing of her going too far on the power. It was a nice episode with some strange things, to me, but it's not bad. I give it 7.3/10.
