The Loud House Nickelodeon
It's apparently the last day of school before Christmas break and so this apparently is almost Christmas episode. It's also snowed, but since it's Michigan that doesn't effect the trips to school- something else does- that's apparently the snow is packed and now there's something called Packing Day that makes Lynn go crazy and do an extreme snowball fight because sure.
The episode goes for a horror monster is coming to get them plot, where Lynn is not even acting human. The trip to school becomes harrowing because of this and it end up after some Louds are picked off being Lola, Lisa, Lincoln, Leni and Luan. This episode does go for a more loony aspect with a chase. Now Luan is taken down and it's just four of them. Lincoln thinks up a plan to capture Lynn and stop her.
Lynn is able to break out of the freezer (for the best, it would be dark if they killed their sister by sticking her die in a freezer). Eventually, Lincoln thinks of a way to stop Lynn and he, Leni, Lisa, and Lola are able to go to school. Episode has all the family together enjoying some treats. The weather man on TV (switch stations you fools) says the next day is packing day again and Lynn is ready, but they she doesn't realize her family has no reason to go out the next day.
This episode was strange to me at first, and felt a little goofier than normal. It took me a rewatch to kind of see how enjoyable it was. It's like an April Fool's episode in structure and do ,mostly, like those. Having Lynn act more primal and animal like does kind of give it a detachment like she can't control herself. It's kind of funny and it does feel like she's showing malice instead more in discontrol of herself. The setting of it being "just before Christmas" whilst not being a Christmas episode is nice since winter does get some shaft in being a plot thing. I've found it more enjoyable as I watched it to review for this post than I did the first time.
There is a fun environment to this episode, it's fun romp of an episode it goes mad so it's fun. I give it 7.5/10

Episode 22b: Snow News Day
Another winter themed thingy. There's a giant whit fuzzy monster running around that the Mcbrides see, then Zach's family sees and tries to capture but the fuzzy monster goes away. Lincoln and his friends are at a news team meeting when Zach runs in to mention the abominable snowman. They decide to cover that because that's how local news works. (They would be doing if it bleeds it leads if they could)
There's also a nice little bit where Zach seems to take the lead when they are searching for the thing. It's nice to see the friends getting some lead points in these episodes so it's not just hinged upon Lincoln. There's also parts where different friends put in different parts of the story work. Eventually, they do end up finding the abominable snowman. They are only really able to get a some video. There's also a fun part where Liam has to run away from an avalanche and has ends up back at home. (That was pretty funny) That will also come into play later.
The episode takes an interesting turn when everyone loves them and their video became a hit. (I don't use that other term) Liam didn't see the news 'til later and realizes that the creature is actually a sheep one of the sheep from his farm that's long lost. He taught Roxanne to be on her two legs and since she's been gone (You're dedicated, you took the time) she hasn't been sheared, therefore, big and fluffy.
I do like this twist it's not a real yeti, or the boring route of some guy in a suit being weird. It's fun and fits with the show and weird animals. Clyde wants to tell the truth but Rusty and Stella are worried about their credibility. (They saw what happened to Dan Rather, they don't want that. The New Action News Team with Girl Jordan coming in September) Lincoln decides to just catch the sheep and sheer her and people will think the Sheep is gone.
They will not be able to do that since the other news is there and Bolofner is there to catch it. So, they do try to stop Bolhofner. Eventually, the plot leads to where they have to tell the truth and prove that the creature is a sheep. Lincoln and friends tell everoyne what happened and it goes over well. All news makes mistakes and they also do retractions. (That's what newspapers do all the time)
It's also a good episode, very nicely written. The story idea is well and the twist is a nice of way doing a fantastical thing without it being too fantastical. Some funny moments and more. I give it 8/10.
That's it for now, tune in next time, when we retract this post. We have to issue a retraction for saying we are going to retract this post.
