The Loud House: Season 6: Episode 10: Puns and Buns/ Food Courting

 The Loud House Nickelodeon

Episode 10a:  Puns and Buns

This episode kind of takes place from Benny's point of view with Luan in the side role, apparently Benny is working at the Burpin' Burger which also has an employee named Andre (voiced by a former voice actor for Clyde) and Otis (poor guy) and apparently Burpin' Burger has taken to child /teen labor as it's only source of human working so that's something. Benny has been made assistant manager because sure.

Like I said, this episode is focused from Benny's POV but Luan is here she's part of the plot.  She says she misses spending time with Benny because  Dairyland is closed for plot convivence season. (which is like rabbit season but with more rabies)  The episode does harken a mention of Luan working as a cow in the Dairyland play and Benny working there, but he has to work at Burpin' Burger because again it's plot convenience season.  Luan gets the idea to work with Benny.

Luan isn't doing her best.  Benny keeps trying to find new jobs for her, and when Andre calls Benny into the freezer, he says that Luan should be fired, and he's right.  Benny doesn't want to fire his girlfriend, but that's his job.  (Fire her, coward)  He tries to fire her but imagines that she would be mad so he decides to be a coward and just have Luan do random things that Andre won't see her,  The episode gets funny too.

Also, is the episode saying Luan can drive a car, she says during Benny's fake delivery set up, that she doesn't have a car, not that she can't drive there's a difference.  So does that mean she can drive?   That's right it's tangent time.  Anyway, the gags are fun to see how quickly Luan returns from the fake missions.   Benny keeps hiding Luan but we have like 1 minute left so it's time.

Luan finds out she was supposed to be fired, and Benny has to reveal the truth and how she wasn't doing the job very well.  The episode takes the set up of Otis being injured from sign spinning to having Andre do the job to Benny figuring out Luan would be good at it.  And she kills Otis.

This episode gives a little more to Benny , since that's what he needed if they are going to have him around  the show. The episode doing it from Benny's side was a nice touch and shows that Benny  does have serious side and has that contrast to Luan.  His worries make some sense, but he also had to do his proper job.

This was a good episode I give it 7.5/10

Episode 10b: Food Courting

A Leni episode with Miguel. Miguel hasn't been used much in the series so giving him something is nice.  He has a crush on a guy named Gavin who works at the Spaghetti on a Stick store ( which shouldn't be a food on a stick)  Leni figures this out wants to help him.  That's this episode.

Within character, Leni helps her friend through different ways, things kind of back fire like when she tries to use the old microphone in the ear to have him speak. They go to Dairyland, which is not conveniently closed this time,  this goes wrong by having it be just Leni and Gavin on the boat ride thing.

Then a twist happens, Gavin likes Leni. The episode turns into Leni being concerned that Miguel would be hurt, again this episode is showing a great work of her character and wanting to help her friend. The episode has Gavin doing a "Say Anything" moment.  This episode is fun.  Leni also figures out she might like Gavin but doesn't want to ruin her friendship with Miguel.

Eventually, thanks to timing, she has to tell Miguel what happened and that it's alright that she can be with Gavin and it's alright, showing how well Miguel knows Leni and works to help her get with Gavin. The episode decides to throw something in for Miguel as it finds Felix, the other guy who works at the odd food place for him to fall in love with it.

This episode does a good job with Leni's characterization as they've already established and making it work for the plot around it not the other way around of having Leni fit in to the plot.  It gives Miguel some focus and does a good job at how everything comes together while also pulling some surprises. I give it 7.5/10

That's it for now, tune in next time when we sue Burpin' Burger because some girl didn't give us our order and caused emotional distress.
