The Loud House: Season 6 : Episode 8: Dine and Bash/ Sofa, So Good

 The Loud House Nickelodeon

       Episode 8a: Dine and Bash

The episode starts with Lincoln watching the plot device for the episode, an episode of a show called Kitchen Ambush which his hosted by don't use us; Guy Grazer (not Gordon Ramsey) as they make it to the family restaurant. I like the Todd, the robot, moments too he's a fun robot. The family ends up working at the restaurant (child labor?!)  and we see them managing it well.  Lynn Sr. gets a call that the Doo Dads band has a gag, and the Loud kids say they'll work it.

This goes well and it's pretty fun to see every Loud sibling have something to do as they work at the place. Then our plot shows up, Guy Grazer shows up for his show. The siblings decide to run the restaurant anyway, while he watches and judges them. Guy is a tough... guy (boo) and the family works to make sure is pleased. He does eventually wonder why everyone working their is children. (that's my question too) He leaves and the kids think he wasn't pleased.  ($90 for a hamburger?! grabs gasoline)

The plan is to steal the footage so people on TV won't be able to see it because they think things went bad. The rest of the episode is the family thinking up different plans to stop Guy from succeeding.  There are some fun moments in this episode to be had, Todd is a nice little star touch to this episode.  They don't succeed as the episode airs on TV anyway, because apparently that's how TV works in this world, it just airs that night like its the news. ( their local TV is better than  ours I'm offended)

We find out the chef was impressed by the kids because they were helping their dad, which is a sweet ending and works out well.

This was an alright episode, fun to see the siblings all having a role to play and nice mix of family fun. It's also fun restaurant episode and the ending was nice, also I like the Grant moments.  It was a good episode 7/10.

More after the jump

Episode 8b: Sofa, So Good

Another family together episode. The parents are happy their children apparently haven't done house or life threatening disasters and this means they are getting a surprise. (I already figured it out right when they said surprise, gee I wonder)  They said they will be back by 4pm with it, but Lisa has been watching the show and knows that chaos will happen.

Lisa is proved right and chaos happens and they end up messing up the living room. The kids get nervous and decide to clean up before the parents come home.  Lynn had put their furniture outside to clean up (even the TV for some reason?) and well guess what?  She forgot the international rule of leaving stuff out on the sidewalk means it's up for grabs.   (don't use us for legal advice , please don't)

They go to the dump to find the stuff  and find out that Flip (of course) has stuff.  There's also a random throwing a shoe gag.  They go to Flip's and find out he sold everything because he's Flip. Now the siblings think of plan B, go buy back their stuff.   I do like how this episode gives the siblings a role  to do something and really gives something fun to be had.

The last part is Flip is using the couch to  have people ride it for love rides, because what? They finally do get sofa and try to clean it up as much they could. The parents come home and thanks to the racoon that works for Flip popping out of the couch, they have to tell the parents what happened. The parents are happy that the kids told them truth and did try to clean up the mess, and oh, the surprise is  a new couch. I'm surprised , not really, saw it coming, It's the same color and looks like the other one because status quo.

This was a fun episode has hallmarks of the first or second season of the show and bringing in the family touch. The surprise was predictable, but that was fine, the episode was there for the journey and it was fine. A fun episode 7.3/10.

That's it for now, tune in next time after we take that lamp someone left outside.
