The Casagrandes: Season 3: Episode 8: Don't Zoo That/ Maxed Out

 The Casagrandes  Nickelodeon

Episode 8a: Don't Zoo That

Adelaide dreams of being junior zoo keeper, and I mean that both literally and figuratively. Sid snaps her out of a daydream. Today's the day she's going for the role. (But, wait, there's more!)  Carl and CJ have also joined the episode and they have the same goal.

Becca makes them a team and the goal is they have to get 4 badges to be Jr. zoo keepers. Throughout this episode it goes through a beat of Carl and Adelaide both arguing over  stuff, while CJ does the work and they end up getting a badge but Becca goes way (probably to talk to her black cat about a spell seh screwed up).  Like the first test, is to brush an alligator's teeth ( I guess the zoo has good insurance or made them sign waiver)

The best part of this episode is CJ, he's a champ, I like that he was there to make sure things get done, while the other two were just arguing and bickering. The final part is about a turtle named Lois, and the same thing starts , but Becca reminds them to not to let the door stay open or the the turtle will leave out. Gee, I wonder what happens.

The job is make a new habitat for the endangered turtle the zoo has acquired. CJ goes to get some leaves and Carl and Adelaide continue their whatever and well... oh yeah the turtle gets out.  (Same turtle, same)  CJ comes back and he puts order again, and they finally decide to work together. This is the better part of the episode. They have to work together to save Lois from the gator and the endangered turtle is not extinct.

Anyway, they are able to become junior zookeepers and  Adelaide decides that CJ should name the new Panda baby. (can they do that?)  Which is rightfully done.

This episode does that thing "The Loud House"does sometimes a razor-thin between good and bad and it's meets that line before bad. CJ saves the episode, he gives the balance it needed that would be  lost if he was removed. Carl and Adelaide's arguing would have been more grating if he wasn't there, especially if they somehow got things done. The part where they realize working together should be done was also a savior, it felt natural, and CJ's role was a good fit to have the episode work  I give it  7/10. It was close too.

Episode 8b:  Maxed Out

Vito finds out he owes $10,000 tab, at Hector's mercado. Also pay attention to Bobby this episode, that's important.  (Actually, things in the start of the episode do make it later in the episode) Anyway, Hector is unhappy is best-friend owes him  $10,000. Hector gets Bobby out of the store , he has a math test to study for (pointing out)  and Vito gets to work at the store. This will go... not well....Vito tries to mop the floor with butter.

Hector gets annoyed and kicks him out. (After crashing into the store)   The episode turns into a Hector misses Vito and starts to lose his sanity episode. It also turns into he annoys Bruno episode. Oh hey it's Ronnie Anne and Carl, they aren't here. (I wish I was them)

The man decides to go talk to Vito who has gotten a new job to make the money. Hector goes to apologize and finds out that Vito has been working as a window  washer.  He ends up saving Vito from dying and they both save themselves from dying thanks to their stomachs.(what?)

Remember that thing I said, the twist is the  Bobby is confused by decimal points and Hector figures out that Vito owes $100 not $10,000. oops !  Anyway, Vito sicks his dogs on Bobby and the epiosde ends.

So, yeah that was something, I don't know I do like the clue at the start, and it doesn't seem forced.  The episode does depend on how much one likes Hector in a long role and if you are invested in the story idea of his friendship with Vito.  It's an alright episode.  7/10.

That's it for now, tune in next time when you give us  $1,000,000.00  , please and thank you.
