The Casagrandes: Season 3: Episode 6: 15 Candles/ Rook, Line and Sinker

 The Casagrandes  Nickelodeon

Episode 6a: 15 Candles

So uh this episode is about Rosa trying to  set up a future birthday party for Ronnie Anne but not just any birthday no, no , this would be Ronnie Anne's 15th birthday/ Quinceañera.  That's right she's planning 3 1/2 years a head. She also tells Ronnie Anne that she's going to have to give up her Saturdays for the next 3 1/2 years. (So what's the point of turning 15 then?)

So of course you and I could feel Ronnie Anne's frustration of having to give up something she doesn't want to give up and she vents this to Sid, but doesn't want to break her grandma's heart. So, there's a plan try to make Rosa so busy that she can't plan the party. This backfires. So time for plan b, and Rosa's resourcefulness once again kills Ronnie Anne's plan . Plan C? Triple fail, where Rosa changes her mind and decides that Sundays are better day, but wait there's more!  Friday Nights as well.

Plan D? Time to make her tired, so Ronnie Anne goes overboard on her planning to make Rosa get tired.  FAIL.  This time Rosa decides to go hyper drive and canceled Ronnie Anne's summer trip to skateboard camp. So Plan E, say she's done.  Then Maria shows up and we get a nice little moment with Maria and Ronnie Anne explaining why Rosa is acting this way.  Rosa didn't have a Quinceañera.

Plan E?   Give Rosa her own Quinceañera, this was a beautiful part to the episode.Rosa decides to let Ronnie Anne have her weekend days back.  This was an alright episode, the charm is the ending, but I think it was fine episode. You get nice Ronnie Anne solo value something that hasn't happened in a while and there's some nice comedy moments and sentimental moments. This episode's reason is predictable but the journey matters more and that's the point really.  I give  8/10

More after the Jump

Episode 6b: Rook, Line and Sinker

Carl is in the principal's office with his parents because the principal has called them not for something good. (ohh)  Carl was caught  tricking kids out of pudding cups. (Honestly, those kids must have not been bright then) Carl is scary good at tricking people, like I'm scared.

Meanwhile, Carlos tries to find Carl a new channel for Carl to not be a trickster. This doesn't go well.  Then they try chess and Carl is good at it and well, Carl decides to use Chess for evil and yes he found away to use chess to trick people into getting what he wants.

You might be thinking this makes the episode bad, but actually it's kind of fun. Carl decides to use chess to get things he wants and I love the creativeness of this episode and his plans. It's kind of scary how powerful he becomes even is able to demote the principal.  (Which is pretty funny)  The parents decide to use chess  against him  to try to fix this.

Anyway, Carl wants his own room now, so he's able to get Bobby to sleep in the store and CJ to get his own room, but the parents get Carl to sleep on the roof in the dog house, and it starts to rain because rain.  He eventually admits he's been doing tricks and the parents say they tricked him. Genius plan actually.

This is a pretty good episode, it was one of the fun ones for Carl and I liked how it went. The Parents being very parental worked here and I like evil genius Carl worked. This episode was quite the joy to watch. There's a lot of fun in it.  I give it 7.8/10 (I knocked of. 0.2 pts for the fart thing)

That's it for now, tune in next time when we play chess to take over the country.
