The Casagrandes Nickelodeon
Episode 18a : Lalo Land
An episode about the family dog for once. The episode starts with Mr. Nakamura and his dog training for a dog role in a new movie with the in-universe star Phoebe Power, who happens to be Ronnie Anne's favorite actress. Vito also wants his dogs to make it. and Ronnie Anne, Carl, and CJ to meet Powers and they think hey let's enter Lalo.
They decide to work on Lalo like make him get cleaned up and made over to be a presentable dog for the audition. (-0.2pts for the you know what) They also train him to be able to work on a movie like doing his emotions and action scenes. (Isn't that for the stunt dog?) Next, it's audition day and apparently Lalo has a worry but thankfully if you weren't paying attention the dog on the movie poster looks like Lalo so he gets in anyway. (Good, I'm glad I wasted my.... ow)
While, Ronnie Anne, Carl, and CJ have fun, it seems that Lalo isn't having a good time. Also, Sergio annoys the director because Sergio. Then the city's angry cats are brought in because they somehow got a role. The episode remembers that Ronnie Anne already once met Phoebe Powers so that's good. While's she distracted, Lalo is put on a dangerous stunt or at least worrying for the dog. (Where's the stunt dog?)
Ronnie Anne and CJ feels bad and decides to put a stop to Lalo's scene and help him while doing skate boarding action skateboarding. (ACTION!) Ronnie Anne figures out that movies aren't real but thankfully, Phoebe gets an idea and Sergio gets to direct, so everything works well.
It's nice episode and about the dog, which was a nice change of pace. Not too much to talk about, I do like the creative solution for the resolution. The episode was giving it's message away pretty early, but they didn't make the situation uncomfortable to watch. I give it 7/10.

Episode 18B Throwing Pains
It's winter! (Yay!) Ronnie Anne and friends are trying to skateboard in the skateboard park, but it's winter. The only person who seems to going against the grain and really enjoying the cold is Becky who power moves by wearing shorts, t-shirt and sandals in the snow. (Or she's gotten cold madness) The gang gets the idea to go the gym and try there and there they meet a dodge ball group headed by a girl named Dodge. (Uhhh can Stellantis sue?)
Dodge doesn't want them to use the gym so Ronnie Anne decides to challenge them in dodge ball for gym dominance. Ronnie Anne and friends decide to start training with fruit, clothes and shoes, and finally water balloons.
Now it's match day, and it gets off with a good start for Ronnie Anne's team as their training seems to be paying off. With Dodge's team losing a round, but a player got injured. That means, Dodge brings in Becky who is powerful soul. Becky is able to beat the skaters single handedly. The two rounds are tied now. (ding ding)
Ronnie Anne gives an inspirational moment and it still seems her team might lose, but the show remembers protagonist powers and uses Laird to help Ronnie Anne out. Dodge's team is down to one, Becky, who does a The Matrix reference like it's 2003. (The movie came out in 1999, but referenced for like many years around it) Of course, the episode pulls out a Ronnie Anne win because of course. (They also made a whole in the gym wall)
The ending does a drive by quick ending, where Ronnie Anne 3 seconds later feels bad the dodgeball players are freezing and then invites them to share and everyone is happy now , that was quick as heck.
The episode is entertaining the training stuff was creative and the action was fun. Becky is always a treat to an episode and the episode had a nice pace, though the ending was a little rushed to go with the solution but I guess that works. I give it 8/10.
That's it for now, tune in next time when the kid in shorts in the winter (Becky) competes against the kid with the jacket in summer! (Death Battle!)
