The Loud House: Season 5: Episode 22: Diss the Cook/For Sale by Loner

 The Loud House Nickelodeon

   Episode 22a: Diss the Cook

Apparently, there are times Lincoln doesn't get lunch made at home for plot reasons. That's this episode. It starts with Lincoln and friends excited for "Turkey Leg Tuesday" (this school has turkey leg money)  Lincoln ends up getting weird lunches from the cook named Chef Pat and he doesn't know why she hates him. (I don't know why Lincoln doesn't just bring his lunch)

He asks he asks her why she's giving him these lunches and she kind of just scares him off. He goes to Lynn and find out that she has the same problem.  This episode turns from what could have been a Lincoln+ Friends episodes to a Lincoln and Lynn episode, a rarity really, and it takes a plot that is essentially one that they would use for Lincoln and Clyde to a Lincoln and Lynn plot.

The mystery is they wonder if  Chef  Pat hates the Louds. (I have a grudge against them, they stole the last piece of pie! Revenge!)  (Also I don't know they just don't bring their own lunches)  Lincoln wants to be a planner, but Lynn does it the quick way (thankfully) and lends us to Lori.  Lori shows up for a guest appearance. (audience claps and woos)

Apparently, Lori has history with Pat, and that she accidently got thick cheese soup in the woman's hair during her first day of middle school and never apologized. Lincoln and Lynn make her go go to school 3 hours away to apologize. This doesn't work, because apparently, Pat is still mad.  (French Fries, extra French, what did he mean by that?)

There's 5 minutes left  so, we couldn't wrap up the story this quickly, honestly it felt longer than I thought it would. Flip went ot school with Pat because  of course  and also Rita went to school with them as well. In fact, Rita was a friend of Pat's and Zach's Mom (who has no name apparently, rude)    Rita mentions that she was holding a graduation party and Pat didn't show up.

Lincoln and Lynn confront Pat and she says that Rita never invited her. (If that's the case she should just kill Rita, and not be mad at the Loud kids in a long family feud grudge, or have her fired for not being a professional)  Rita says she did give Pat an invite, she stuck the invitation in a library book that Pat was reading.

They find the invitation in the book at the high school, where they just run too so easily.  Pat apologizes  for petty. (She figured out that Rita got married to a guy named Loud and decided to set a vendetta against Rita's kids, what am I watching?)   Rita holds a party again to bring Pat and everyone back  together.

This is a fine episode, even if I found the reason Pat was mad kind of stupid, mostly because she decided to set off an angry revenge cycle, that or the not one Loud tried to get her fired for being weird to them, maybe that's me. Anyway, I did think it was going be a Lincoln+ Friends episode, the title card was a lie, which I don't mind and actually enjoy, but it was nice seeing Lincoln and Lynn team up for an episode, it was a nice treat.  It was fun to see Lynn work with Lincoln's uh Lincolnisms , where she used her personality to make things easier and do stuff Lincoln (or Clyde) wouldn't do. Interesting that  Flip has been shown to go to school with both Lynn Sr. and Rita, but apparently those two didn't meet until after. Anyway, I give the episode 8.5/10.

More after the jump

Episode 22b: For Sale by Loner

This episode is that Spongebob episode where Squirdward gets annoyed about having Spongebob and Patrick as neighbors and decides the best thing to do is move. The episode starts with the Louds being the Louds and annoying Mr. Grouse. He decides to sell his house. (I'd move too, or be on that Investigation Discovery show where the neighbors goes crazy and kills their neighbors)

He also decides to find a spot to rent that turns in to annoy the old man with noise because the town has nowhere to live except annoying spots. (might mention why these spots are open) Flip (as Rick) decides to help by letting Grouse rent out his mother's cabin.  (Where serial killers live?)

I mention that Spongebob epiosde becuase this episode continues the same beats:  At first Mr. Grouse likes the life, then he gets bored and then becomes the thing he didn't like the most. He meets Mr. Bolholfner (they remembered he had a cabin) and Grouse, wanting someone to talk to becomes Bolhofner's  nuisance. (Hitting all the beats)

This really does feel like they took "Spongebob" and moved it over here, Bud Grouse is acting like Spongebob.  Also, they forgot about 2009 digital television transition uh minus.3pts that's right, I want to see a convertor box on that old TV set!

Bolhofner tells him to go away (and he should have skinned him) and now Grouse starts missing the Louds after talking to a rock. He decides to go back home, but the episode has over 1 minute left. The  Louds show up (like stalkers) and tell him his house is being sold, which surprises him and confuses me, people would know if their own house is being sold or not, then they accept the offer or not, and can ask to de list their house.

So I'm taking away .5 pts for realt-ing correctly. That's right,  I'm tough grading this episode. They could have just had Grouse feel bad, go home, see the Louds and say how he misses them, but nope they need to fill like 80 more seconds so we get the ending of this plus, apparently his house is sold to a couple ( who look like Cookie's parents) and that's now that works so minus .5 more points.  He uses the Louds to be annoying and they run away because that's how that works. Anyway the episode finally ends.

It was an alright episode, though ending parts  bugged me specifically. It was nice to see an episode where Grouse's love of the family is kind of part of him, like the Christmas episode  showing how much of a bond they have and they've kept through the series  so that was nice. I give it... 8.5/10.... nope wait.. 7.2/10.
