Episode 16: Camped!
This episode is a long special based on the Loud House doing a story about a summer camp, just no a summer camp vacation special. So, Lynn Sr. finds out that a camp he went to with his Dad (and I'm not sure this show understands what a camp is ) this episode is the first time we ever see any real hint of Lynn Sr's father. (Statistically, it's unusual for both grandfathers to be alive after the grandmothers, but alright.) Anyway, Lynn Sr. and the family go to the summer camp for the final time before it closes and Flip is there because he used to go there too.
Anyway the camp owner Mr. Rinsler shows up and he says that he can't afford the up keep anymore, pay attention to that line. Anyway, Lynn Sr. and Lincoln follow him and this is where they find out a buried treasure. The logical idea is to have the Loud family go out an search for a for the treasure. (as one does)
The idea is to give the treasure to the Rinsler for the camp to continue. They also do a little thing with Flip hearing about the treasure and well you get that. Anyway, this becomes a treasure hunt episode. (This episode was called Camped! but a lack of camping happens) This episode also has some good little character interactions do enjoy it for that as well as everything else going on.
(-1 pt for the butt jokes and etc, that's right I'm a hard grader) They think Flip is following them, which makes a nice driving stake. They find a treasure and it's great fun adventure like you'd see in a "Indiana Jones" movie. That's the first half...
more after the jump
The shadowy figure was ACUTALLY Lynn's father and he had a boat there to capture the gold and the family just in time. The day is saved! So really the only thing the episode was missing for a homage to 1980's treasure hunt movies was a villain, but alright that works anyway.
We found out that the camp owner just wanted to retire and wasn't really worried about money, but thankfully (plot wise) the grandfather, Lenord, offers up his chance to take over instead and maybe we'll see him again, maybe not (nobody knows) .This was a good special there's a lot to enjoy, I think there's some fun enjoyment to be had to this one, it's not perfect, I think the last part had too many conveniences, but I'm happy with how it much fun it was to watch. I give it 7/10.
That's it for now, tune in next time when we buy a camp space and yell at a bear!
