The Loud House Season 2 Episode 9: Kick the Bucket List/ Party Down

The Loud House  Nickelodeon

Previously on the Loud House : We had a bit of bad luck so we stole some frogs. You can read that here.

  Now to Episode 9

Episode 9a: Kick the Bucket List

Oh my gosh! Lincoln actually talking to us; this hasn't happened in many many episodes, I thought he was mad at us.  So, it's spring break and Lincoln and Clyde have plans to do stuff but since that seems to be the plan, let's see how this gets destroyed in 3...2...1.... Clyde can't spend spring break with Lincoln because they are going to Hawaii for eight days, it was a surprise. (Who does instant surprise trips to Hawaii? Who?)  Since spring break is nine days, they'll have one day to do the list.  It seems to be montage of these two editing their list for eight days. ( I died)

They get to work on doing the list and only have eight hours. (to live)  They try to go through their list and things go as you expect them to go.  They actually, get a little too stuck in following this list to the point where they decide to split up to finish it, defeating the point of the list in the first place.    Forced Luan insert is Forced.  The other sisters show up randomly too.  It is kind of funny to see Clyde do a rock as Lincoln because these two have lost any semblance of sanity.  He does a few objects as Lincoln stand-ins.   Also more montage because, we need to fill this eleven minutes.

These two meet on the bus and feel bad their day hasn't gone well.  The ride home gets adventurous as they ride with the old lady, Scoots, then on sheep, then on a boat, then on an old mine cart, then trash can lids. Which really but all the adventure in this episode.  It really is a nice interesting way to finish up this episode.   Lincoln gets beaten up by a bird at the end, because we need to fill these 11 minutes up.

This episode wants the characters not to try to plan everything out so much, or at least be more flexible.  It's the not most funny or exciting of episodes for the most part, there are funny moments and some good things in it that don't make it too boring or feel like a drag, though there are parts that feel like it's dragging to fill the eleven minutes up.  The message is relatable because, sometimes you have to be flexible with plans.   I give it 8/10.

     More after the Jump

  Episode 9b : Party Down

Lori's having a party but she wants to have sophisticated party because we need a plot for this episode. She's following everything from a magazine (called sixteen and  a half, because society has failed us all)  Her siblings come down to the basement and want to bring the party stuff , but they get banned because of her pinky-up party.  Only Leni, Luna, and Luan (after she begged) are allowed. Lincoln is driven by his madness and dresses like Russian stereotype number 92.

Luna tries to brings tunes to the party but, Lori doesn't like that because the magazine says you should play supermarket music. (What kind of teen magazine is this? They aren't even trying to be "How you do fellow kids", the magazine)  Again, she tries to bring tunes, when everyone is having fun and gets thrown out.  Then Luan gets thrown out.  Fake Russian Lincoln gets removed even though everyone was enjoying whatever that was.

Upstairs, the siblings are having their own fun.  Downstairs, everyone is more bored than watching C-span 2.  (Hey it's Upstairs, Downstairs, we finally get to reference that!)  Bobby actually gives the reason why this party isn't going well, Lori doesn't listen but still, good work Bobby! Each of her friends leave the party faster than a politician in a scandal.

Lincoln comes down and sees Lori is sad and invites her upstairs. (Lisa is high on chocolate and I'm calling the police.)  She has fun at their upstairs party.  The friends come back and join this other party and Lincoln even lets Lori take credit for this more fun party, and the end is great.

Funny how both these pair of episodes say to stop following plans so strictly; I mean, that's a surprise really.  Seemingly moving their focus away from Lincoln this season, and now there's an episode focused on Lori.  Yeah, it's the plot line of  trying to hard for something, and making something fun less fun. This episode pulls it off well. While, Lori is strict in her party she's not over the top ,and the family doesn't hold a grudge against her, just chose to have their own fun instead. It's a fun episode it's 9/10.

That's it for now, we say Joey was best character this episode, tune in next time when Russia sues the Loud House, also the Ooompa Loompas get Clyde and  Lincoln in trouble with twitter for being orange.
