The Really Loud House Nickelodeon
Episode 13: Little Sisters' Big Adventure
Right off the bat this was a super fun episode. I really enjoyed it. The main thing it did was it took the younger sisters -minus Lily- and gave them a spotlight together and did a story with them. This show had done that before and it's something I think is really neat and should be explored. The younger sisters do have their own variety and things that would be interesting to see how they interact with each other -beyond Lola and Lana.
To this episode, the younger sisters want to be included in the older sisters' plans but the older ones don't want them included. I will also note here that older means Lori, Leni, Luna, and Luan. Lynn is not in this episode. Lynn fits in between the older four and younger four in her own way, I can see her not really being as close to the older sisters and might been more sympathetic to the younger ones in her own way. So she's not here.
This episode doesn't have much Lincoln and Clyde they actually have a small role in this episode where they build a large castle out of uh legally not sponsoring the show not Lego. They will pull a help later on in the episode and have a small b plot where the parents are having a date night and have to watch their TV movie around them building the castle. This plot is funny and they made it work for something that really exists for the A plot to finish.
Lucy, Lana, Lola, and Lisa are feeling left out and decide that they should have their own fun too and stowaway in the van when the older sisters are going to the drive-in movie. That's also when we meet Butch, the over euthanistic about his job as a security guy at the drive-in. He finds the younger sisters -the older sisters think he found extra hidden candy- and he's a big chunk of this episode.
The older sisters do end up with their own little detailed plot. Lori thinks that whenever Bobby does decide to pop the question that this drive-in will be the place. When talk of a wedding ramps up, it turns into a mess as Leni mentions that she'll be maid of honor. That causes Luna and Luan to be offended. [There are not fine returns]
The little sisters break up into little plot stuff of their own. Lucy sees some frat guys saying the movie sucks so she does an amazing terrify them thing. The best of it, is that she gained their favor and they make her an honorary member. They also come into play a little more as Lucy has them help her and others when they need it. Lola gets taken by Butch because the whole sneaking in thing. Lana goes to find her. Their reunion is fun as they use the power of twinship to confuse Butch. Lisa wants to win a stuffed unicorn. She sees that Lola has been taken by Butch - who will be kicked alot this epsiode- and Lisa hides in the skill grain. Also slight dark joke of a little girl grabbing Lisa's glasses with the crane "winning them" and saying to her mom she won glasses and now doesn't have to wait until Christmas to see.
I really love this episode, it's alot of fun. Every little part is interesting and entertaining. The younger sisters getting into a chaotic adventure is enjoyable. Butch goes on the prowl to find Lola and Lana, and the others. Man is a) really into his job b) gets kicked a lot. Eventually, the younger sisters unite again and have to run from Butch. Luan, Luna, and Leni try to impress Lori to make her pick one of them for maid of honor. Butch talks to Lori about the younger sisters and she uses flirtation to get Butch to get the heat off of them. Lori again wants to not get banned because she believes that Bobby will not propose to her.
Since Lisa can't see the older and younger sisters have to go find her before they get caught by Butch. The Lucy and frat boys interaction was really fun. Lori makes sure that Butch doesn't ban her with the power of a woman's fury and even free popcorn.
The ending is really nice too. The older sisters don't help the younger ones sneak back in when the parents are still up. That's when we get Lincoln and Clyde to be part of the main plot. It's a great contrast to where Lincoln is willing to help them and even lets his impressive castle die to help them sneak in the house without getting caught by the parents. It's a great moment. The episode ends with the younger sister's scrap book.
To repeat myself, this is good episode. I really good. Everything about it is enjoyable, funny, crafty, and heartfelt at the end. I liked the younger sisters having a bond, the older ones having a bond at times was nice too. Lincoln came in clutch at the end. Really fun episode, a great outing of this series 10/10.
That's it for now, tune in next time when we kick a guy while he's down.
I portrayed the character of “Hookhand” seen on the movie poster and am credited as such. 🎥
