 Episode 12: Loud Blues

Finally a show gets to mention Top Gun. That's how I get to start this post, so yay . Anyway, this episode is kind of weird in some way. Lincoln ends up trying to help a sad Lily with her losing her unicorn toy and decides to give her Bun bun, his pet bunny.  Lincoln didn't mean forever.  Zia thinks it was really cool of him.  This will be most of Lincoln's plot in the episode. It's an interesting thing to explore him and his stuffed bunny. He doesn't end up sleeping very well and no substitutes work. This episode doesn't with Lincoln managing to get Bun Bun back, he even loses his jacket because he didn't want Zia to think he's not awesome brother.

Lynn Sr. is really wanting to teach to Luan how to drive, he thinks he's a big success since he thought Leni.  Rita wanted to teach her, but he says that Lori and Luna were taught by her so it's his turn. Things go not well for him.  He has a hard time teaching her and ends up doing expensive stuff like buying a new front door, new car,  and having to pay for damage. He ends up agreeing to let Rita teach Luan.

There are something about a guitar that Luna found. That brings us to a plot that shows up where Rita tells her that she has to return it because it had a name on it. She finds the owner a guy named Buddy who is really unhappy that she brought it back to him. Yep, the guitar she found in the trash was actually trash. [ A twist of the century]  Luna thinking that she was going to get a reward. Buddy is right, he threw it away and didn't want it, wasn't going to give a reward for something he didn't lose.  It's also interesting to see Luna driving a car as that was brought up in this episode. Buddy makes Luna come with him to get rid of the guitar. [They could have just taken the name off it it, Or Luna could have just kept it] I do like how Luan and Lynn's plot combine into each at times.

This episode mostly descends into madness. Luna finds out why Buddy is un happy with the guitar. It's the nicest turn around in the episode.  I have a question. Why is Zia donating trophies? Who buys used trophies at thrift stores? Why?  Anyway Luna and Buddy start working on a blues song. It ends up having Lynn Sr. and Lincoln joining in. In their days not being the fun.  It's an interesting ending as Lincoln's plot didn't end with a victory or something. The episode just kind of ends. It does kind of fit the idea of the blues.

I kind of see it as a very interesting concept for an episode. It does a good job of doing having bad things happen to characters without it feeling mean.  It doesn't have a happy ending in the way where things you think would be resolved would be resolved it just kind of accepts that life is like that sometimes.  Lincoln could have gotten out of his problem if he wasn't trying to keep his pride with Zia, Lynn Sr. would have had less problems if he didn't just lie and be so haughty about his great driving teaching skills.  Luna kind of accepted her mistake and helped a guy get back to playing his guitar.  So that was a the happy ending there.    I give it 7.2/10
