The Loud House Nickelodeon
Episode 20a: Jeers for Fears
Here's an episode that is also kind of sad in retrospect in lost potential, at least in my thoughts, but also kind of makes no sense with the characters. Also we'll be seeing how many Tears for Fears references we can sow.
Chandler, Richie, and Trent are talking about a new haunted house in town they have tickets to visit. Chandler says the two boys are biggest "chickens" in their class. I'm kind of slightly confused on how these two are the scaredest kids in their class, when their interests include watching a show about ghost hunting. Though Lincoln has been show to have been scared of a movie, but it may have just been to mature for him or something. Anyway, Lincoln and Clyde lie to Chandler and his friends because they don't want to be seen as scared of the own shadows. So now they have to visit the haunted house with Chandler and his friends.
Clyde and Lincoln are terrified. They decide to get Lucy to help make them less scared by training them. This is a creative idea. This is where we get the montage of Lucy and some of the other sisters help make a fake haunted house (well more fake) all this really does is make the duo shout, shout and let it all out, these haunted things they could do without. This is fun part of the episode, I will say that, I like they know how Lucy's character can do all this and it works well for the episode.
Bobb shows up because he's visiting Lori from preparing for the spin off series. Good thing Bobby does because he knows people who work there and he can provide them advice for the young at heart. Bobby shows him how the haunted house works to make them less scared so this place will be filled with familiar faces and familiar places. I like the part of Bobby helping them out,it's nice touch as well. He also shows them the bail out door. Sadly, this plan is stopped because some people on top saw Lincoln and Clyde and though the place wasn't scary enough and were somehow able to replace their employees on the same day.( Royal Woods Unemployment rate must be high)
Chandler shows up before they could leave. Lincoln and Clyde run through the house be afraid of everything as they do and thinking about the bail out door. Meanwhile, Chandler and his friends used the bail out door, meanwhile Lincoln and Clyde use the exit. Here we go! We're going to break it down again. Chandler and his friends were so scared they bailed out, Lincoln and Clyde were so scared they ran through the house and made it out the normal way through dumb luck. I like that. Not anybody learned anything, but it was good. Chandler is embarrassed but Lincoln says he's not going to tell anyone. Then Chandler suggests they get pizza together. Then they run from a squirrel.
The episode ends with it seeming that they may be Sowing the seeds of love with Chandler, which would have been nice, if they had stuck with that. They don't have to be best friends but it would have been nice little development. Chandler's not a bad character, he's barley an antagonist, but it feels like the show wasted a chance to change something because reasons. It's kind of disappointing in that respect. Because you can change.
Leaving, the highsight and focusing on the episode. I don't know why Lincoln and Clyde seemed to be depicted of being afraid of everything that seemed out of character for them. It seems they wrote it to fit the plot instead of the characters fitting the plot. Lincoln and Clyde aren't fearless but they also aren't that usually scared of almost anything. (But I can see how some might find this episode funny). It's alright episode, nothing too bad, I give it 7/10.

Episode 20b : Tea Tale Heart
This is wonderful episode it's true! Please don't think I'm quite mad, that'll make me feel very sad. Lucy has a fancy doll that Lola takes an interest in, but Lucy says no, because doll, you see is fragile. (Fra-ge-le if you won't) But can Lola allow this? Can she be restricted from entertaining a doll for her fancy? Lucy tells her younger sister it's not she trusts her not, it's that the room she shares with Lana gets hetitc. Lola was a skeptic, but then Lana rides her skateboard through the hallway and proves Lucy right.
Lucy is away, and Lola will play. This may go wrong, we'll see it shan't be long. The doll is in the twins' room when she gives the doll some tea, the sugar causes it to splash on the dress and now she has to clean up this mess. This actually makes it worse, and breaks the head. Lincoln shows up to remind you that you are indeed watching the Loud House , a show he once ran, Lola has made the situation worse oh man!
Lola commits pure bribery to get to the antique store with Lori. This plan works, she gets a replacement doll and she has a lot of money in it's glory. She replaces the doll and now the old body must he hidden. The next morn, she awakes and finds the doll she hid in her room again. Anyway, she tries to hide the body again, but yet it shows up from nowhere. Lola thinks the doll's haunted. If you watch where she hides the doll, it makes more sense of the twist later on. Lola thinking this is due to guilt and admits the truth and asks Lucy for forgiveness. That works, also the plot twist comes out with Lana finding the doll in spaces she hangs out and that's who has been brining it back. While, I kind of wish they left it ambiguous, but it was funny to see that and Lynn being scared by the doll moving at the end.
A good episode, worth the parody of Edgar Allen poe's story's name. It's fun episode to watch through out and gives a great piece to watch. I like the interactions with Lola getting more more desperate to get rid of the doll and wondering how it keeps coming back. I did kind of think Lucy was behind it first, but the twist makes it even better. It's a good episode it's 9/10.
That's it for now, tune in next time, when we regret burying a doll in a haunted house.
