The Casagrandes: Season 1: Episode 11: V.I.Peeved/ Señor Class

The Casagrandes  Nickelodeon

Previously:  The bird isn't dead  read that here

   Now  to episode 11

  Episode 11a:  V.I.Peeved

This episode is focused on Carlota, her first time ,wow alright. The episode starts with Carlota trying to do modern internet live streaming thingy and her family is kind of messing it up in the background. (some call it vlogging) A famous , in universe, musician named Alisa (one name, like Cher) has "liked" her vlog and messaged her to invite her to do her make up and see the show  Alisa also hosts one of those singing show things. The family gets to go to because we need this plot to go.

Most of this episode's plot is Carlota trying to balance doing the singer's make up and making sure her family doesn't embarrass her.  That's essentially most of this episode. It's funny  to see the family members do random actions. Eventually, Carlota is able to get her family distracted for like 2 minutes.  Her family goes missing and she feels bad, while she gets to interview Alisa. After seeing how Rosa's tamales did well she feels guilty and goes and finds them.

Something something, oh yeah, Carlota tells Alisa the strange people hanging around are her family. Alisa understands and her family is there too.  The Casagrandes get to sing with Alisa (and we get the last minute of the episode filled with a song)

This episode is alright, it's interesting to see Carlota have a focused plot , again it is one of the episodes that you can see how at least the moral will go ,either that or I've watched the shows so intently it's just ingrained in me how episodes work.   It's a fine episode, it's 8/10.

 More after the Jump

  Episode 11b  Señor Class

Oh it's a someone older goes back to school plot.   It starts with Rosa making Carl study for his test the next day which has  Ronnie Anne attacking long division.  (yeah we said attacking!)  Hector says they are lucky because he had to drop out to help his family at the store.  Also Sergio is older than I thought he was. (Yes, I know parrots live a long time, I'm surprised he's that old though)  They suggest that Hector goes back to elementary school to set this plot into motion.

Hector is in Ronnie Anne's class because we need that for this to work. As the episode progresses both Ronnie Anne and Carl get annoyed by Hector's presence as he embarrasses Ronnie Anne and Carl.   These two plan to get  Hector out of school, but their first plan didn't work. Actually, a few of their plans don't work. Eventually, Ronnie Anne thinks up a way to get Hector to the Mercado.  The place is is mess and Ronnie Anne feels guilty because they are crushing his dreams of school again.  A compromise idea works out with Rosa homeschooling her husband instead.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of these plots in general . Even the "Hey Arnold" one kind of bugged me, so taking that bias in consideration, I really don't think this episode a lot for me to grab into to really like about it, it's not a blatantly bad episode, you may find more enjoyment from it than I did. Using quality for the episode it's a 7/10 episode.

That's our look, tune in next time when we live stream our meeting with some guy.
