The Loud House Season 2: Episode 16: Fool's Paradise/ Job Insecurity

The Loud House Nickelodeon

Previously on the Loud House:  The show won't let Lucy commit real acts of magic, and that's just wrong, read that here.

Now our Journey continues with episode 16:

       Episode 16a: Fool's Paradise

Another April Fool's Day episode. How is this possible? I don't know, maybe science has gone too far, maybe the show is confused.   Anyway, it starts with the Loud kids trying to figure out a way to stop Luan from doing her crazy April Fool's Thing.  Lisa offers a solution that would be perfect, I mean freezing Luan would stop her from doing the crazy thing, but they don't like this idea for some reason. (It's because they hate science)  Lana and Lola's plan won't work because it's a bad one.  Eventually, they get plot convenient ad that is for a clown camp that happens during April Fool's Day because plot convenience.    They decide to set her to camp of plot convenience to conveniently get her out of the way.

The van brakes down (conveniently in front of a motel) and Lana (conveniently) doesn't have her tool box. (We are going for a record here)  They stay at this two star (one star) motel. (It's called Buttz motel, why?)   This becomes a horror movie and they find out that this was all prank by Luan. (Apparently, she's a world class villain) Lisa "dies" first, then Luna stuck in non brand name gelatin and she gets to mention a Kansas song.  (Great episode 10/10, next episode now)

Leni falls next, then Lola gets skunked. Making this like a horror film is like high tier. Luan set up pies that are rhubarb, which for this episode, Lana is allergic too. (Arrest, the funny girl for attempted murder!)  Lucy gets bleached (again attempted murder?)  I  really how tense this episode becomes. Then, Lincoln finds out that Lynn Sr was in all of this. (A twist!)

Her plan was to use this episode's plot convinces because she created them! Awesome. Lynn Sr. was promised a decade free of pranks if he helped.  Eventually, they get back at her plan by pranking her. She swears vengeance.

The April Fool's Day episodes so far showing up strong in this show. This one, takes the whole family. While, the first was mostly with Lincoln. It sets up a really good use of plot convinces to make it work.  It really has a great feeling of being like a horror film minus the whole killing everyone part. (Though, don't actually do anything in this episode, you might kill someone)  It's great episode 10/10.

 More after the Jump

       Episode 16b : Job Insecurity

Lynn Sr was an IT guy. (That's how he affords those nice ties)   The kids see that their Dad left his laptop at home, and they find out  he hasn't worked there in 3 weeks. Lisa surmises that he was fired after a recent take your kids to work day. (Pause) Alright, show back in season 1 there was an episode where it was take your daughter to work day. So, now there's an event where all the kids go to go, that's too much flag on the play.   (Now back away from the tangent)

Lisa has put a tracking trip her both her parents because forget the 4th amendment. They find that their father as now working at a Russian-Hawaii fusion restaurant because that makes sense. He's a dishwasher.  They feel bad and that they made him lose his job so, they  work together to find him a new job.  They find him a new IT job and he gets an instant interview.  Now, the kids decide to fake being Lynn Sr because yes.

They decide to Mr.Grouse after bribing him with lasagna because this man is Garfield.  They decide to teach him how to computer.  I love the jokes they do with this.  Mr.Grouse got Lynn the job.  They surprise their father with their new job and he finally tells them that he quit his job because he training to be a chef, his dream job.

The kids also got him fired from dish washing job so, they have to fix that too.  Lola gives the Chef war flashbacks, so they help him run the place while he recovers from an injury. Lynn Sr becomes co-chef.  Meanwhile, Mr. Grouse, actually did the IT job, good on him.

This was a fun episode, it's nice to see the kids working together to help when they felt they did -something wrong. It also holds it's humor well with a splash of heart. I give it 9/10.

That's it for now, tune in next time when we bribe Mr.Grouse to write our next blog post
