The Loud House Nickelodeon
Episode 17a: Dread of the Class
An interesting plot device here is to have Luan, for some reason. have a pranking school and also in this case have Ronnie Anne show up and be a "graduate" of this because reasons. The episode throws us into this scenario right at the start. Lincoln is there and so is Benny. Benny, being Luan's boyfriend and apparently, tons of money having student, and Lincoln being Ronnie Anne's friend. But before Ronnie Anne can get her diploma she has to complete more prank on Luan. Otherwise, we'd have no plot at all.
Lincoln and Ronnie Anne work together to have to prank the older Loud sister. As one could expect Luan being a pro at pranking as made it hard for this duo to get something done. Luan is 2 steps ahead of them in each challenge. This episode kind of turns into a Will-e Coyote vs Road Runner cartoon where the Road Runner Luan is able to just go by and laugh as the duo fail each time.
The highlights of this is apparently, for this episode, Luan doesn't sit down ever because she worries about people pranking her in retaliation. (there's one way to stop that from happening Luan) They decide to show her with some thick bulky legs with veins. Later, that whole Will-e Coyote Road Runner comparison gets some closest work when Luan is just able to instantly go-go gadget pogo stick and leap over, probably the weakest of the Lincoln and Ronnie Anne pranks. and later when she made a fake wall in a corn maze. Also having Benny pretend to be Luan which was a twist at least of unexpecting.
Ronnie Anne gets a trippy sequence to think of an idea to prank Luan. Luan has built a corn maze at the Hunnicutt farm. Virginia, the pig, seems to have fallen into one of her pranks this plays well into the episode soon. The maze is a fun trip itself, Luan has set up pranks and decoys to deter Ronnie Anne. This finally culminates when Virginia shows up later to stop Luan because Ronnie Anne quietly teamed up with the pig to get back at Luan. Ronnie Anne is able to get her diploma.
What works here is that the episode uses 2 established prankers :Ronnie Anne and Luan (and kind of Lincoln as described by a past Casagrandes episode) and has them just prank each other. Lincoln being there seems to be there for a reason to have Ronnie Anne be in town and allows for a nice team up between the two in Lincoln's show. Benny is here really just to have that later reveal where he pretends to be Luan to throw off Ronnie Anne and Lincoln. Though he was somewhat fun here.
The randomness of explaining Luan's prank school and the things it teaches did seem to be drawn out as a joke. If it was supposed to be one, it doesn't land as strongly. It was also odd that Benny seems to pay a lot of money to do this course, but why?
This episode seems to fill the show's quota of pranking episode a season. Which is something, but it's alright so let's say 7.5/10.

Episode 17b: Welcome to the Doll Heist
Oh it's an episode with Lily, this could get weird. Lily is playing a friend name Ingrid (people still name their kids Ingrid?) and she has a narwhal toy and Lily wants it. There is a chance for a trade. Ingrid spots Lola's Mr. Sprinkles and takes him. Lily realizes this was a bad plan. (Lola will kill her)
She goes to Lincoln for help. This means they go the grocery store to get the doll back. This is not going to be simple, because of course not. Anyway, decides to heist take and sadly his spy films do heists instead an Ocean's 11 reference. Lisa decides to help the duo break into Ingrid's home. Todd is brought in give them a pizza and scan the house. (This is how Google street view works) The plan is to use Luan, Lana. Luan is there to distract Ingrid, and Lana is used to sneak in and distract the dog.
Lincoln smoozes with Ingrid's mom (what?) and Lynn is there to fly a drone to help get narwhal in for the swap. Lily goes up stairs to get Mr. Sprinkles. Ingrid is impressed by Luan's clown show that she wants to get Mr. Sprinkles to join her. Luan has to distract. The plan starts to collapse as Lana ate all the dog treats and the dog isn't happy again. And even more important, Ingrid sees Lilly in her room. (oops) We have like one minute, wrap this up.
Chaos has begun. Though Lincoln with the mom distracting role was funniest. Finally, Ingrid enjoyed the fun of the day and there was a swap and everything fine.
What helps the episode work well , and yes it's good, is that it doesn't centerpiece on Lily so much to also add in Lincoln, Lisa, Lana, Todd, Lynn, and Luan and also have a role for Lola, it works very well. The fun part is that it takes a simple idea and puts a fun spin on a heist plot, though it doesn't do anything too different with it. It was fun to see the different Louds' roles and wanting to protect Lily for the ire of Lola who is very attached to Mr. Sprinkles. That was really fun. I give the episode 7.4/10.
That's it for now, tune in next time when discover that Mr. Sprinkles stole an important diamond.
